Privacy Policy - My Library Helper

J & S Studio develops the My Library Helper mobile app as a commercial utility. This policy governs how My Library Helper processes data when running on your mobile device.

1. Information Collection & Storage

My Library Helper does not capture, harvest, upload, or transmit personal details or identifiers to external servers. All operations are kept on-device:

Book Records: Any books you scan or manually enter (ISBN, Title, Author, Cover art URLs) are stored locally on your device in a secure database managed by Apple's native SwiftData framework.
Local Access Only: The database files are stored inside the sandboxed container of the app and are not accessible by J & S Studio or any external parties.

2. iOS Device Permissions

The app requests the following device permission to support key cataloging features:

Camera Access: Camera access is strictly used to scan book barcodes (ISBN numbers). Images captured by the scanner are processed in real-time, on-device, and are never saved to your camera roll or sent over the internet.

3. Third-Party Web Queries

When you scan or search a book's ISBN code, the app queries public book indexing APIs to retrieve metadata (book title, author, and cover illustration URL). During these requests, no personal user information is passed to these APIs.

4. Purchases & StoreKit Transactions

If you purchase a Pro subscription, transactions are processed directly by Apple through their secure StoreKit API. J & S Studio does not view or store your payment details, billing address, or transaction history.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any adjustments by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
